Ductwork that can actually move Florida air
A new condenser cannot dry a house if the ducts leak into a hot attic or the return is too small. In Boca’s long cooling season, duct problems show up as uneven rooms and sticky air.

No cool
Look outside. If the condenser is silent, check the breaker and the disconnect next to the unit. If the fan is running and the air at the vent is warm, or the breaker trips again, stop resetting it and call. That is a part, a coil, or a safety switch — not another thermostat click.

Humidity
A house can hit 74 and still feel wet. Dropping it to 68 just makes it run longer. Note which rooms feel clammy and whether it short-cycles. Airflow, runtime, and the drain come before a dehumidifier or a new system.

Clogged drain
Water in the air-handler closet, or a system that starts and then dies, is often the condensate line. Shut it off if water is on the floor. A simple clog sometimes clears from the outside pipe. If it comes back this week, the trap or the slope needs a look.
What we look for
Disconnected flex, crushed runs, missing insulation, and returns blocked by furniture or closed doors. Older Boca Del Mar and eastern Boca attics often hide the worst of it. Newer West Boca homes can still have long runs that were never balanced.
We fix what we can prove. Sealing and redesign are scoped after airflow testing — not sold as a mystery spray.
Process
Visual attic or chase inspection, airflow symptoms room to room, and targeted repair of leaks and crushed sections. Larger redesigns are quoted separately when the trunk or return cannot support the house.
Common problems in Boca attics
Hot attic air sucking into returns, supply leaks dumping cool air into insulation, and single returns serving large floor plans. Those waste energy before any refrigerant conversation matters.
When ducts and replacement travel together
If you are replacing a system, this is the moment to fix a duct path that never delivered. Putting a new condenser on failed ducts still leaves uneven rooms.

Do you clean ducts as a standalone product?
We repair and improve ducts when airflow or leaks are the problem. A cosmetic clean without fixing leaks is not the first conversation.
Can ducts cause ice on the coil?
Yes. Restricted returns and crushed supplies reduce airflow and can freeze a coil in Boca humidity. Fix the path, then reassess charge.
